Important Notice: The P-Type coalescer has been superseded by the new S-Type and T-Type coalescer generation. For most applications we recommend selecting the appropriate S-Type or T-Type replacement.

The P-Type coalescer has been a proven solution for the removal of water and solid contaminants from aviation fuels for many years. However, increasing requirements regarding sustainability, operational performance and long-term product availability have led to the development of a new generation of coalescer elements.

Today, the P-Type coalescer is being progressively superseded by the S-Type coalescer and T-Type coalescer product families. Both have been developed using advanced coalescing media technology and are designed to meet the demands of modern and future aviation fuelling systems, whilst remaining interchangeable with existing P-Type solutions in many applications.

Why is the transition taking place?

The new S-Type and T-Type coalescers offer a number of advantages compared with traditional P-Type technology:

  • Advanced coalescing media technology
  • Enhanced water separation performance
  • Faster drainage characteristics
  • Non-glass-fibre construction
  • Improved sustainability profile / Reduced carbon footprint
  • Lower initial differential pressure
  • Potentially longer service life
  • Better long-term product availability
  • Improved readiness for future fuel and industry requirements

The right solution for every application

S-Type Coalescer
Designed primarily for stationary installations. The S-Type combines advanced filtration performance with improved sustainability and reduced environmental impact.

T-Type Coalescer
Developed specifically for mobile refuelling and into-plane applications. The T-Type offers enhanced resistance to modern fuel challenges and surfactants while providing certified performance for mobile aviation fuel handling systems.

For existing installations, our technical teams support customers in identifying the most suitable replacement solution and in transitioning from P-Type technology to the latest S-Type or T-Type coalescer generation.
