1938: FAUDI Feinbau GmbH founded by engineer Fritz Faudi in Oberursel, Germany.

1955: Fritz Faudi awarded the Order of Merit by President Theodor Heuss; passes away the same year.

1973: FAUDI receives its first API 1581 acceptance for aviation filtration.

1976: Acquisition of Atlantik Gerätebau GmbH in Stadtallendorf.

 

Mergers and Expansion

 

1984: FAA Filters (formerly North American Filter Corporation) founded in New York.

1989: Merger of FAUDI Feinbau and Atlantik Gerätebau forms FAUDI Filtersysteme GmbH.

1989–2000: FAA Filters owned by UK-based BTR; rapid growth and acquisition of The Refilco® Corporation.

1991: FAA Filters begins microfiltration production with a Class 10,000 cleanroom.

1992: FAUDI Filtersysteme receives ISO 9001 certification.

1995: FAA Filters earns ISO 9001 certification.

1997: FAUDI relocates to Stadtallendorf; establishes R&D centre with advanced filter test rig.

 

Aviation Focus and Innovation

 

2002: FAA Filters earns ISO 9001:2000 certification.

2003: Successfully completed a management buyout; Marcus Wildschütz acts as managing director for FAUDI Aviation.

2009: Launch of AFGUARD® electronic water sensor.

2018: Launch of EI-qualified Dirt Defence Filter Elements and coalescer elements.

2020: AFGUARD® + Dirt Defence accepted as a global filtration standard.

 

Global Integration and the Birth of sefiso

 

2021: FAA Filters acquired by FAUDI Aviation America Holdings, Inc.

2024: Launch of the sefiso brand, unifying global operations under one identity.

2024: Start of aviation filter production under sefiso LLC in the U.S.
